January of 1926, the Disneys moved to their new studio at 2719 Hyperion. This is where the first Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon was produced, released during October of 1927. Later, the first Mickey Mouse cartoon “Plane Crazy” was animated in under three weeks time.
“Throughout the following years, Roy assumed full responsibility for the distribution and monetary functions of the organization. In 1929, they attained the financial stability to own and enlarge the studio on Hyperion Avenue in Hollywood which they had been renting for four years.”
